Section 1: The Path Begins — Prerequisites & Starting Out
1.1 Create a Seasonal Character
Horadric Powers are exclusive to Season 9, so your first step is to create a Seasonal Character. Only these characters can access the seasonal systems, including the Horadric mechanics. Once the prologue is complete, you’ll officially enter the seasonal storyline.
1.2 Complete the Prologue & Reach Ked Bardu
After stepping into Sanctuary, you’ll follow the main campaign prologue. Your destination for unlocking Horadric Powers is Ked Bardu, the week's central hub. Look for quests tied to the Horadrim—aided by quests like “Escaping the Pit” and “Ked Bardu.” These set the stage for the next steps.
Section 2: Launching the Questline — “The Path of the Horadrim”
2.1 Quest Trigger: The Arrival of the Horadrim
Upon reaching Ked Bardu, you’ll be introduced to the surviving Horadrim—a group of scholars and warriors guarding a new vault that holds arcane secrets. The important quest you’ll see is “The Path of the Horadrim.” This quest acts as the season’s tutorial on unlocking magic.
2.2 Objectives Rewards
To complete “The Path of the Horadrim,” you must:
Visit a new crafting station in Ked Bardu—the Horadric Spellcrafting Interface.
Learn basic recipes and equip your first Horadric Spell.
Discover your first Horadric Jewel and socket it.
Completing the quest not only teaches the basics but cheap D4 materials also grants Catalyst, Infusion, Arcana, and Jewel components—effectively jumpstarting your Horadric toolkit.
